Hey!
For my 13th birthday(December 24th), I got a skiing trip from my parents.
Today, I went skiing with my dad for the first time!
We got up at 5:30am and hit the road around 6am. By 8am we had reached our destination - Sugar Mountain! Since this was the first time I had skied, I didn't have good clothes to wear...thankfully my best friend (family) lent me some snow pants.
I had skiing lessons and by noon I was ready for the real slopes (bunny hill can get really tiring!).
But we had to eat lunch first - we went to a nice restaurant in Banner Elk, a town nearby.
I got the best burger I have had in like FOREVER!!! Smokehouse burger - SO good!
So when we got back, (from lunch) I did two other slopes - Easy Street and Little Nel. They were easy but for a beginner it was the most fun experience ever! Today was the best birthday present ever! Hopefully, we are going to make this an annual trip!

yeah - i no!! it was so fun! i cant believe my dad snowboarded that looks really hard! (i just added pics!)
happy belated birthday! that looks like so much fun! so glad you ahd a great time. we're going skiing with our college group from church this weekend! i think i'll stick to the snow tubing :)

yeah - my dad thought it was really funny that I was scared of the ski lifts! :)
